Early Years Practitioner - Full Time

Staff Benefits

We care about our team as individuals – they work hard and are rewarded and valued for it. Our teams are supported personally and developed professionally, giving them all the necessary tools to provide outstanding care for our families big and small.

Early years is known to be a low-paid sector, as recognised by the Low Pay Commission (LPC.) We pay significantly above industry averages. Our salaries are banded and we offer a full and abundant benefit scheme for all our team.

We believe everyone should be part of where we are going – and be rewarded for helping us get there. Any staff member referring a friend to the company will receive a cash incentive of £350 payable once 3 months employment has been completed. Also, we award our long-term staff of 10 years with a full month’s additional wage.

The nursery industry typically offers 28 days holiday a year inclusive of bank holidays, for all full-time staff. We wanted to improve on this and offer our Full-time team 3 extra days for the Christmas close and Pro rata for all our part time colleagues PLUS 1 extra week of holiday after 10 years of service (in line with the staff members working week).

We offer paid training and overtime should we need to ask you in exceptional circumstances to stay longer than your contracted hours.

We contribute to a workplace pension for staff, in line with government guidelines.

We understand that sometimes life takes an unexpected and difficult turn. To help our team through bereavement & family illness, we grant 5 days paid leave following the death of a member of immediate family (partners, parents, dependants, or siblings).

Sometimes life can be tough. Our team staff are signed up to our Employee assistance program which offers counselling, citizens advice and wellbeing support. In house we offer a “listening ear”. It is good to talk, and we understand that on many occasions to talk it through can ease the dilemma. We can support and guide our team to a secure resolution.

This is key in our dynamic company which gives our team the opportunity to make their mark and impact thousands of children and families. We rely on our team to evolve and celebrate new ideas. Our team have the freedom to be creative in their roles. We encourage our team to find a course they are interested in and let us know how they think this will benefit them and the wider team.

Some staff decide to go down a leadership route, while others specialise and become an expert in something that excites and inspires them. We hire amazing people and empower them to reach their full potential. The whole team are in the driving seat with their learning, and we support with a mix of development initiatives and an unparalleled learning environment. Our internal talent pool is the first place we look for new roles to take our business to the next stage.

We fully support our team to complete level 2 and level 3 qualifications in child care and development. In certain circumstances we can agree reduced hours for staff enrolling in EYTT degree. We also have a rolling program of industry experts informing on the latest developments in education, behaviour & play.

We offer all allowances in line with the Government regulations to our complete team. We are happy to facilitate holiday hours during statutory maternity pay if requested.

Our “Green Army” uniform creates an attractive business image allowing us to stand out in the crowd. Its foremost use is to protect our staff and foster team spirit and promote company pride. Wearing our uniform goes a long way to improve security across each setting and encourages good customer relationships.
